While on my search of cougar town....

Leon Bing, writer and cougar

I recently read the August 2010 Vogue magazine from front to back and found a an amazing column written by Leon Bing, in the Upfront section of the magazine.

Leon modeled for years, is a mother, a writer and dating a man 20 years her junior. She has dated younger men off and on for years.

Check out the column here

She shared her experiences with family, friends and community as a result of dating a younger man, and addresses many of my fears with a "who cares" attitude.

I'm excited to read her book, Swans and Pistols.  I hope to gain insight on all Leon has experienced in her 50 plus years and why she found herself preferring younger men and they her.

Maybe I'll even get a lunch interview with her.
It's exciting to discover someone who is established, aging handsomely, vibrant and driven to look up to.

Leon Bing dates younger men and is proud to be a cougar.  There is hope for me as a cougar in training.

  1. I am traditionally drawn to older men; always. I feel they are less domineering and comfortable with themselves. My therapist wants me to realize that men my own age (37) are just now coming into their own and that I should open up to the possibilities of dating someone born in my decade. After learning about my father, she doesn’t think I have a “daddy issue,” as much as the lack of ability to find someone that compares. I am still not sure. I possibly just lack confidence. With older men, I know that they want me. With younger men, there is always the chance they will leave me for someone better.
